Armor of God – The Belt of Truth

Pastor David kicks off our summer series, Armor of God, with our first topic of conversation being the Belt of Truth.  You will love the insights he reveals so you can engage in the world around you by knowing the real truth found in the word of God.Scripture: Ephesians 6:10-17

Discussion Topics:

1. The first piece of armor that we as Christians are called to put on is a Belt of Truth. What is truth?
2. Pastor David explained that the belt of a Roman soldier was meant to carry their weapons as well as secure all loose pieces of clothing.  This ensured that they could not get grabbed, snagged or yanked during a battle. What is a loose area in your life that the enemy keeps grabbing a hold of?
3. Why do you think putting on the Belt of Truth came first in regards to the order the armor appeared in the scripture? Why not the Helmet of Salvation? Wouldn’t we need to be saved first? It could have been the Shield of Faith, don’t you think a good defensive instrument would be handy? The first is Truth…. why?
