Dude Perfect
Have you ever heard of parables? A basic definition describes a parable as a short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle. Jesus would tap into people’s imaginations when he shared parables in the scriptures. He painted pictures which revealed deep truths. In our modern times, we take advantage of today’s most popular movies to paint a picture while overlaying biblical truths to demonstrate a moral attitude or religious principle we wish to reveal. We call this series, At The Movies.

Discussion topics
1. During Tyler and Bethany’s story, was there anything about the movie, the sermon, or the scriptures used that stood out to you?
2. Pastor said that stress, pressure, and life’s challenges, only reveal externally what is actually happening internally. In this video of Tyler and Bethany we see that COVID revealed that their marriage was falling apart. Is there a place in your life that is secretly falling apart and if the right stress, pressure, or life situation occurs, what you are hiding on the inside will most likely be revealed on the outside?
3. Matthew 6:33 says “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” What does this verse mean? How does it apply to our lives? How does this look practically speaking day to day?
4. Proverbs 27:6 (MSG) reads “The wounds from a lover are worth it; kisses from an enemy do you in”. Would you have a personal story where you saw this to be true?
