One Heart
The heart may be the most important organ in our body and it is used as a picture. Throughout the bible, the heart is referred to in certain issues we face. The Bible considers the heart to be the hub of human personality, producing the things we would ordinarily ascribe to the “mind.” Issues such as grief, desires, and joy. This week we are going to talk about you having one heart and how we can protect that heart from hardening.

- When you read in Exodus chapters 7-11 that God hardened Pharaoh’s heart, how do you read this passage? Is there something that you heard on Sunday that helped you understand what it means regarding God “hardening” Pharaoh’s heart rather than God allowing Pharaoh to live in the decision he was making.
- Read and discuss Proverbs 4:20-27. What does it mean to incline your heart? What are some warnings that Proverbs 4 is giving in this passage? What are some things that this proverb is telling us to do to safeguard our heart?
- When it comes to your eyes, your ears, and your mouth, what is something that you do that affects your heart in a negative way?
- Where is a place in your life where you have a hard heart towards something of God?
