A Woman with an Issue of Blood
This week we look at a dad who found Jesus, was bringing Jesus home to heal his son, but his request got delayed because Jesus stopped to heal another. What can the delay in our request to God do for our faith?

Discussion topics
- When you read this week’s passage about the woman with an issue of blood, what stands out to you most? Is it the people, is it the healings, or is it the heart or words of Jesus?
- When you read this story you can easily see that Jairus had a delay in his desire. Initially, Jairus had to think this delay was a denial, but we know that Jesus is not intimidated by death. Because of the delay Jairus saw Jesus, and his miracle-working power, in a way very few ever had before. Have you ever had a delay of God coming through for you? Was this delay a denial or was it just God coming through in a way very few have ever experienced?
- The women with an issue of blood pushed past social stigmas, past people who would have tried to keep her out, past the intimidation of how this man of God would have treated her, and because of this, she received her healing. What can, or maybe it’s better said, what must we learn from this woman? Where is your faith weak compared to this woman?
- Please take a few minutes and pray for all the parents, kids, and families that attended the Fall Festival. Pray that the gospel seeds we sowed through giving away bags, pumpkins, candy, bounce houses, and engaging in conversation would take root and produce a harvest of salvations.
