The three wise men, Magi from the East have been and continue to be a major part of the Christmas story. Join us and see why it matters that these strangers traveled to see the newborn king.

Discussion topics
- Read Matthew 2:1-12 and spend some time talking about what you read. Is this passage what you have always known about these men? How much of your thinking about these men have been shaped by carols, Christmas cards, and nativity scenes?
- When the Magi brought gifts, do you think they knew the prophetic imagery of what they were bringing? The gifts brought were gold for a king, frankincense for the high priest, and myrrh for the one who would give his life. Do you think Mary or Joseph knew the meaning behind these gifts?
- On Sunday Pastor David said, “God will give you a gift, not for where you are, but for where you are to go”. What are your thoughts about this quote? Is there a place in your life where this is true for you?
- What is one thing that you and your family do, or could do, to make sure that Jesus stays the center of this holiday season?
