Jonah
Today, we cover Jonah, the villain of the story. Jonah knew God, knew God’s voice and knew the power of God, yet he decided to run. After he ran, and God saved his life, he fulfilled the call that God assigned to him. And when God loved people Jonah was angry at God. What can we learn from Jonah? Where can we grow from this story?

Discussion topics
1. Is there a place in your life where God has called you to do something? A place where he wants you to step out in faith or even a place where you are called to walk away from? Why haven’t you listened and responded to God’s voice?
2. On Sunday, Pastor David said that there are some people who have a fear of success. Success costs you something. Success makes you responsible and accountable to the new place you moved into. Failure is free. Failure costs you nothing and usually is accompanied by empathy, sympathy and attention from people around you. Where in your life do you sabotage your success?
3. Pastor David delivered two heavy thoughts on Sunday which were “A Christian without a ministry is a contradiction” and “Exposure to scripture is no guarantee of a Godly lifestyle”. What are your thoughts about these statements? Do you agree or disagree and why? Do either, or both, of these statements challenge you in any way?
