Discussion topics
1. “Welcome to the building, Church”… this is a phrase you hear all the time in our Sunday mornings. Why is it important to understand that people are the church? Time to be real honest – How does your portable church look throughout the week? Are people attracted to God when they meet you?
2. In Malachi 1 we see the people of Israel had no appreciation for God. Pastor David made a point that when you forget to do the little things in a relationship it should be no surprise that the relationship begins to erode. What little things do you forget to do in your relationship with God? Praying, Reading His Word, Meditating, Giving/Serving.
3. We see in Malachi that the people were bringing to God their broken, lame and leftover gifts. Do you give God your best or do you give him what is leftover?
4. BONUS QUESTION: In Malachi’s time God moved into a season where we say “God stopped talking”. Do you think it’s possible for God to stop talking to His people today? Why or why not? Does this thought or question scare you, motivate you or bring you peace?
