Noah
The Genesis flood is one of the best known narratives in the entire Bible. Logically, a great flood can’t be denied in human history so the question remains, what should we learn from this time in human history. Join us as we cover the story of Noah.
Hebrews 11:7, Genesis 9, Genesis 7
Discussion topics
- After this Sunday’s sermon, and a re-reading of Genesis 5-9, what part of this story stands out to you?
- Pastor asked the question on Sunday, “Would you rather the swells of the waters or the smells of the boat?” So often we get hung up on the smells going on “inside the boat/church” while missing the fact that it’s worse outside than it is inside. What part of church keeps hanging you up?
- Do you trust God in your life? Noah had no paddle, no steering wheel, no idea where he was going or where this thing was going to get parked… but he trusted God. Do you trust God as much as Noah did? Where should you trust him more?
- Noah preached to the people for 120 years about an impending judgment but the people let the opportunity for salvation pass them by. Where is there a place that God is calling you that you need to step up before the opportunity passes you by?
