Ministry
What matters in life is not how long you live, but how you live. What matters most is the donation of your life. In week five of “What on Earth Am I Here For?” we see that you were shaped to serve God through ministry.
Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 2:17, Matthew 20:26-28, Mark 8:35, Proverbs 10:7
Discussion topics
- We serve God by serving others. There is no such thing as a non-serving Christian. What would the church (even our church) be like if everyone lived by this truth?
- Point #1 of Sunday’s sermon was: Ministering to others will create joy in my life. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? How could giving to others give something to you?
- Of the other things that ministry can do (improve my relationships, make my life meaningful, leave a legacy), which one speaks to you the most and why?
- Time to be honest with your group. How have you been doing on your daily readings? Since this 40-Day spiritual journey began, have you seen any changes in your life, your thinking, your devotions, or your response/love to God? This question is not here to make anyone feel bad. It is here to make sure that we are all intentionally taking steps to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
