Fear of Change
Why do we resist change… even when we know we need it?
And what if the very thing we’re afraid of is where God is already working?
In Week 2 of Brave: What Faith Does to Fear, we tackle the fear of change and uncover a powerful truth: we don’t just avoid change—we often stay loyal to what’s hurting us.
Through Isaiah 43:19, we see that God isn’t asking us to figure out a new path… He’s already making one. But too often, we miss it because we’re holding onto what’s familiar instead of trusting what He’s doing now.
This message explores the tension between comfort and calling, the role of habits and environments in keeping us stuck, and how real, lasting change happens—not through behavior modification, but through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, a renewed identity in God’s Word, and the power of community.
You don’t have to see the whole path.
You just have to trust the One who’s making it.
