You have heard it said that everyone has a public life and a private life.  This week we look at the third area that no one talks about, the hidden life.  What are you hiding in your life from the public, from those closest to you and from God? The biggest question that we need to ask ourselves is why do we keep it hidden? What keeps us from asking God for help?
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Discussion Topics:

  1. After listening to Sunday’s sermon is there a prayer you didn’t want to pray but now have the strength to begin that conversation with God and others? Will you share a little with your group?
  2. Hidden lives sow constant seeds. Justification is a tell-tail sign you have a bad root system that has formed in your life.  Resentment grows from justification.  Take a moment and ask God to show you where you justify a behavior.  Where do you see a seed of resentment growing?
  3. God is ready and waiting for you to pray your honest prayers.  Read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.  Where can you take His grace in your weakness and become strong today?
Exercise – Put out two chairs, Ask yourself these questions from each chair and continue back and forth.
Chair 1 – What does the evil messenger say in your ear that you hear over and over?
Chair 2 – What is the truth that God says about you?
