Station of Warning

How does the entire story of the Bible lead to a warning spoken by Jesus on the road to the cross? And what happens when a nation or a people mistake religious identity for real obedience to God?  In this message we step into the next moment in the Stations of the Cross as Jesus speaks to the women of Jerusalem in Luke 23. While the crowd mourns His suffering, Jesus turns the focus away from Himself and warns them that judgment is coming—not because faith itself is ending, but because the religious system they trusted was about to collapse. From Genesis to the prophets to the Roman world of Jesus’ day, the Bible shows a repeated pattern: when people cling to the form of religion but abandon the heart of obedience, God eventually exposes it. This message wrestles honestly with what that warning meant for Jerusalem in AD 70 and what it may mean for cultural Christianity today. The call of Jesus has never been about comfort or identity—it has always been the same life-changing invitation: Follow Me.
