This Too Shall Pass
Going through a hard time or season in life? Have you ever reached out for help and the words of encouragement that you received were “this too shall pass”? Is this biblical? That is meant to help, but will it help? Seasons come and seasons go so how can we learn, grow, and overcome during those seasons? This week we look at the truth behind this statement as well as practical tools that you can use to overcome the difficult times of life.

1. Which part of the message was most impactful for you and why?
2. One reason we give up is because our perspective is limited. Have you found out God was at work in a situation even though you couldn’t see it at the time? What happened?
3. Another reason we give up is because our progress isn’t always obvious. Can you think of a time in your life when a lack of visible progress made moving forward difficult? What was that experience like?
4. Is there an area of your life where you’re trying to persevere, even though it isn’t always easy? Talk about it with your group.
5. What are some ways you can lean on God and others when you feel like quitting something good?
