Picture this, it’s Good Friday. The Son of God is giving up his life. What does he want to say to us in His final hours? What does He tell the people standing at the foot of the cross, to pass down to the ages? He speaks only seven short statements. Words of forgiveness, salvation, relationship, abandonment, distress, triumph, and reunion. Seven statements that mean everything.

In Seven-Mile Miracle, Pastor Steven Furtick shows us how Jesus’s last words offer mile markers for our journey in relationship with God. It’s a lifelong journey and it’s not always easy. But Jesus is both our guide and our destination as we travel.
Scripture: John 12:12-19

Discussion Topics:

  1. This week I want to encourage your NavGroup to begin your time with prayer. Please consider some or all of the following topics to pray for: Good Friday service, Easter morning,  people to accept Jesus as their savior during this weekend, those being baptized, Easter Egg Hunt (safety, weather, volunteers, and families to be forever impacted), those serving over the weekend to have  grace and anointing to present the Gospel clearly.
  2. Read John 11:14-15 and discuss. Are you ok with a God who would say something like this?
  3. What does it mean to you personally when you see that Jesus wept with his friends (John 11:35) and that Jesus wept over the condition of Gods chosen people (Luke 19:41)?
