Sermon #2 in our Armor of God series focuses on the Breastplate of Righteousness.  We see today that righteousness is the application of truth.  Where do you need to take the truth of the scripture and apply it in your everyday life?  You have received the information, now use it for your benefit and the benefit of those around you.Scripture: Ephesians 6:14, Psalm 119:112-114

Discussion Topics:

    1. The armor of God was not an original thought by the Apostle Paul. In fact, he used the imagery because the Old Testament prophet Isaiah spoke about the coming king and how he will be dressed. How do you feel about the king wanting to share his clothing with you? What does this mean for believers?
    2. In your own words define righteousness.
    3. Talk about the following phrase, “Truth is the informational base that tells me the right thing to do. Righteousness is the application of that truth in my everyday life.”
    4. We find in Psalm 119:112-114 that in order to guard our heart we need to hate things appropriately, hide in places of safety, and let hope live out completely. Which one of these areas do you need to work on the most?
