Have you ever said the phrase, “I’m doing well, just busy.”? Have you ever thought to yourself, “If I only had a few more hours in the day.”? Here is a reality we all need to come to terms with: if we are busy now, adding a few more hours to the day would only hurt us. Why, you ask? Because the amount of time in the day isn’t the issue, it is the culture of hurry that is killing us. The only thing we would do with more hours is add more stuff to our list. Corrie ten Boom once said, “If the devil can’t make you sin, he’ll make you busy.” We need to seek freedom from hurry. This six-week series looks at our current hurry culture and asks the simple question, “Can we have a hurry culture and a Jesus culture at the same time?”. This series is inspired from the John Mark Comer book, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.
