This week Pastor David explains how important it is to have the Grace of God in our lives if we want to live a victorious life. All too often we try to use will-power (which comes from us and is limited) verses being grace-powered (which comes from God and is limitless). Join us as we step out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Scripture: John 3:19-20

Discussion Topics:

  1. Read John 3:19-20 and discuss the difference between living in the light and living in the darkness. Why do we think we can jump between dark and light and it not effect our walk with Christ?
  2. Every book that the Apostle Paul wrote in the New Testament begins with something similar to this, “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” What is grace? How important is grace to a victorious life and why?
  3. The take home phrase from Sunday’s sermon was, “Put your BUT where it belongs”. Pastor David used the two passages that parallel where the BUT was, Exodus 13:27-28 and 2 Corinthians 4:6-9. What was the difference in the BUT location and how does it change the outcome of the passage?
  4. At the end of 2019, where is there a place in your life where you would like to say the phrase, “I did struggle with…” verses having to say, “I am struggling with…”? What keeps you from overcoming this sin?
