This Father’s Day Pastor David talks to the men about the importance of, “Training up a child in the way he should go: (so) when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). He will explore the tools God provided us in order to train, as well as some ways we as parents tend to shy away from fulfilling this responsibility. Listen in and enjoy the final sermon in the Proverbs series.

Scripture: Proverbs 22:6

Discussion Topics:
  1. The 10 commandments state that we should honor our mother and our father. With this past Sunday being Father’s Day, where is a place in your life that you could honor your father?
  2. Pastor David said that parenting is more like an art form than a science. Do you agree or disagree with that statement? Why?
  3. Pain is a powerful teacher, so much so God wove it into every sinful action that mankind experiences. What does it mean when we, “choose to sin, we choose to suffer”?
