The School of Hard Knocks – Origin Story

Pastor David kicks off our School of Hard Knocks series this morning.  Today he helps us explore our origin stories and how we are molded by the experiences we face.  
Scripture: I Samuel 8-16

Discussion Topics:

1. What is a “Hard Knock” story that was all about a wrong decision you made?
2. What is the gift from your origin story that no one else has? Give an example of something that’s unique to you.
3. Where do you act like a duplicate and not the original YOU that God created?
4. Now gather three chairs and do the exercise Pastor David explained. Ask these questions:a. Name a difficult time in your life where you suffered.

   b. Name someone who showed up for you during that time.

   c. Name the place/thing you overcame.
